If we were Sony Ericsson, we’d probably be looking to go over our press division with a fine tooth comb. You see, there isn’t a week goes by when a new handset, feature, service or plan isn’t leaked from the company via some nefarious anonymous employee.
Not that we are not grateful to such individuals, as without them, we wouldn’t have the opportunity to fawn over moving images of Sony Ericsson’s forthcoming C905 Shiho 8 megapixel wonder. Having only heard about this spectacular looking Cybershot branded handset yesterday, the appearance of a video today is a little unexpected, though a similar thing happened with the BeiBei last week (also as of yet still unannounced).
Maybe Sony Ericsson doesn’t need to look for cracks in its operations, maybe it knows exactly what it’s doing if you catch our drift…
Sony Ericsson’s spanking new Cybershot phone – the Kxxx – emerges. No, we don’t mean it’s a particularly saucy handset, it’s just that no-one’s quite sure what it’s called.
Anyway, the new handset, which is apparently for real, was unveiled on Chinese website pconline.cn (so maybe it’s a leak from a Sony Ericsson factory?).
What is apparently true is that it looks like a K800-range Cybershot with bright blue casing. It does carry a three-megapixel camera (not five-megapixel?!?) with a dual-LED flash.
So what? We hear you say… a Cybershot phone with no five-megapixel camera? Bear with us. This beauty features a built-in GPS receiver with Google Maps, Favourite Places and more – just like a Nokia N95 8GB.
Imagine – a Cybershot phone which lets you automatically update your location when uploading pictures to your blog!
It might be lacking a top-notch camera, but the GPS certainly is an intriguing addition to Sony Ericsson’s line-up-.

Sony’s Walkman handsets have been given a significant memory boost with the release of 4GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) cards for Sony Ericsson phones.
To give you an idea of the capacity of these cards, they can store up to 3,700 shots from a five-megapixel K850 Cybershot phone, or around 4,000 songs (Or 45 hours of video footage) on a W910 Walkman phone.
Couple this beauty with the ever-expanding internal memories on Sony Ericsson’s phones and you’ll soon find yourself not needing your iPod or digital camera - you’ll simply store everything on your mobile. Of course, that’s exactly what Sony wants!
As an added bonus, Sony’s new M2 cards will also come with a convenient M2 USB adaptor (right) for connecting to computers without Memory Stick card readers.
The products will be available later this month, although pricing is yet to be confirmed.

Looks like Japan is about to get two new Sony Ericsson babes — one slide and one flip, dubbed SO905i and W54S respectively. Rumoured specs for the flip include a 4MP camera with Cyber-shot branding, a 3″ WVGA screen (strictly speaking 480 x 854 but can also be 800 pixels wide, as in this case), 2GB of on-board storage, and 1Seg digital TV support.
For the SO905i slide (top) we’re looking at a WVGA display again, 3.2MP autofocus/ anti-shake camera, Bravia branding of its 1Seg TV services, 50 hours of battery while watching digital TV, and a jog-dial controller. Both phones seem to come in those darker hues of blue, red and green — the latter being the colour we’re turning at the thought of being able to use phones this sweet.
