When Steve Jobs announced the iPhone last year, he claimed that he wanted to snaffle 1% of the global market share with the device, a considerable feat, even for an established computing giant like Apple.
But according to an Apple insider (who wishes to remain anonymous), Jobs’ 1% percent projection was merely the beginning. Apparently, Apple is set to allow third-party mobile manufacturers to license the iPhone/iPod touch OS for use on non-Apple handsets. Talk about dropping a bomb on the industry.
