Well, they wish. In reality, Nokia’s bagged the exclusive download rights to Kylie’s eagerly-anticipated new album ‘X’. It will be exclusively available to download from Nokia Music Store from November 21 - five days ahead of its general release.
It’s the first time a Kylie album - there have been 10 over three decades (now that makes us feel old!) - has been made available digitally prior to general release
It’s not Music Store’s first exclusive though. Already Girls Aloud (’Tangled Up’), The Killers (’Sawdust’) and Andrea Bocelli (’Vivere’) have all released exclusive through the store.
Nokia Music Store customers will be able to get hold of the album for £8. If you’ve got a Nokia N81 or N95 8GB, you can sign up and will able to get hold of Kylie’s latest release here.
Any excuse for a picture of the delectable Kylie. A woman so sexy she only needs a first name.
Seriously, Ms Kylie, who has only recently recovered after a brave battle against breast cancer, has set up a mobile networking site, you know, for her fans.
Having been told that touring might harm her health, Kylie’s launched the site to keep in touch with her fans until she finalises plans for a world tour next year.
Her latest album, ‘X’ goes on sale later this month and her latest single, ‘2 Hearts’, is being released next week. To coincide with this, Kylie’s mobile networking site KylieKonnect is being launched, for which fans can register on their phones.
On the site, which was designed by New Visions Mobile, fans can blog, communicate with other fans and upload images and videos. Kylie herself will be updating her own blog on the site, but there was no word on whether the singer herself would be actively monitoring or contributing any more to the site.
You can find out what it’s all about and register your phone here.
