Nokia E75 images leaked

The QWERTY slider is a pretty under represented physiology in Nokia’s gene pool, so these leaked pics from Daily Mobile of the forthcoming E75 have us drooling like the gadget equivalent of Charles Darwin.

The device sports a decent 2.4″ screen and a roomy looking alphanumeric keypad. The QWERTY slides out from the side which suggests to us that the E75 may have some automatic screen orientation gubbins locked away inside, by way of an accelerometer. Or at least, that’s what we are hoping.

Besides the attractive silver bezel that frames the front of the device and the mention of a 1.3 megapixel camera on the back, there’s little else we can guess at specs-wise from these shots. More info will follow soon, hit the jump for more pics.

Nokia N85 specs slip out through the back door

n85pat.jpgThe Nokia N85 has been rumoured to be  Nokia’s next attempt (after the N93) at a video-focused mobile phone.

Nokia have been tight lipped about what this might involve but the publication of a User Agent Profile for the upcoming phone has revealed a few choice details.

The User Agent Profile is a bit of code that a phone’s web browser uses to identify the capabilities of  a phone.  This lets a website be tailored to that phone.

The UAProf for the N85 sadly doesn’t seem all that great.  All the standard 3G smartphone bits and bobs (although no GPS, weirdly) but only a 3.2 Megapixel camera and a QVGA 240×320 screen.

Sure, 32 megapicxels are not to be sniffed at, with the right lens, but surely Nokia could go to at least 5MP?  It all seems a bit.. last year, somehow.

Windows Mobile 7 info leaked?

windows mobile logoThe Inside Microsoft blog has what is claimed to be a leaked internal Microsoft document detailing some of the features we can look forward to seeing in Windows Mobile 7 - codenamed Photon.

Now, this may turn out to be an elaborate hoax (albeit one that someone has spent a lot of taking putting together) but assuming it is true WM 7 is going to be really interesting.

A complete interface redesign seems likely, with much more emphasis placed on finger gestures and movements rather than the stylus. So far, so iPhone - but Microsoft also seem to be taking a leaf from Nokia’s book by implementing motion-sensitive controls. Users will be able to control the phone by turning, twisting and shaking it and devices will behave differently if turned face-down or kept in a pocket, for example.

Rather than incorporate an accelerometer, WM7 will instead use the camera to detect motion - how well this will work in low light is anyone’s guess.

The full list of features can be found here, complete with eyecandy.

Leaked pics of Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot and Bravia phones for Japan

New Cybershot

Cybershot2

Looks like Japan is about to get two new Sony Ericsson babes — one slide and one flip, dubbed SO905i and W54S respectively. Rumoured specs for the flip include a 4MP camera with Cyber-shot branding, a 3″ WVGA screen (strictly speaking 480 x 854 but can also be 800 pixels wide, as in this case), 2GB of on-board storage, and 1Seg digital TV support.

For the SO905i slide (top) we’re looking at a WVGA display again, 3.2MP autofocus/ anti-shake camera, Bravia branding of its 1Seg TV services, 50 hours of battery while watching digital TV, and a jog-dial controller. Both phones seem to come in those darker hues of blue, red and green — the latter being the colour we’re turning at the thought of being able to use phones this sweet.
